Biography

Morgan Lineweaver was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio and currently resides in Pittsburgh where she attends Point Park University as a dance major. She trained extensively in classical ballet technique, jazz, modern, tap, and contemporary with the Canton Ballet Company and has had the opportunity to attend programs with Commercial Dance Intensive under Casey and Cassidy Noblett, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Orlando Ballet, and Tulsa Ballet.

While receiving her BFA in Jazz dance with minors in Entrepreneurship and Technical Theatre & Design, she has been seen in works by Kiesha Lalama, Sara Brians, Ahmad Simmons, Kiki Lucas, and more. Training under Kiesha Lalama, Kiki Lucas, Norbert De La Cruz III, Jason McDole, Marc Spaulding, Rocker Verastique, Danny Herman, and more, she has been exposed to dance styles and techniques such as musical theatre, heels, Latin ballroom, House, Locking, and African. She receives vocal training from Catie Brown at the Pittsburgh CLO and attends classes at Iron City Circus Arts in aerial silks and hoop.

She recently debuted her first choreographic work Dead Calm at Point Park University’s Student Choreography Project and is eager to dive into more choreographic endeavors. Morgan has worked as the Costume Supervisor for Kentucky and Winter’s Tale at Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse and enjoys learning about the creative process from a different viewpoint. She is the proud owner and operator of her online Etsy business Stamp Street Jewelry Co. and is eager to grow her entrepreneurial skills in her career.

As an artist, Morgan strives to create a community-centered dance environment emphasizing deep connections with her fellow artists. Using her education in various aspects of the industry, she works to create art with innovation and creativity first and foremost and enjoys the storytelling aspect of performance. Outside of dance, Morgan enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats, Trixie, Abby, and Max.
